Wordpress Sites
Best choice for small business, personal or portfolio sites
At Kinetic Pulse I specialise in providing bespoke sites based on the popular WordPress platform.
Why do I use WordPress?
WordPress is the internet’s most popular CMS (content management system) and as such provides unrivalled stability, security, scaleability and support. The backend allows you to manage all the content on your site very easily, using familiar tools thus removing the need to involve an expert whenever you need to update your site.
I have 10+ years of experience working with WordPress, and have yet to find a better platform for running small-business or personal websites.
How does it work?
A CMS is a platform enabling easy management of the content of a website (images, text, media etc) without affecting the design or layout. The ‘theme’ contains all the specific pages, elements and visuals which make your website unique. By keeping them separate you can always update or enhance your site without losing any work you have put into existing content.
Never ‘off-the-shelf’
Although there are tens of thousands of ready-made themes available for WordPress I never use them, nor do I modify existing themes. Experience shows that this almost invariably results in something which doesn’t quite work, or is full of compromise. Even my most basic sites will be custom-made to your specific requirements.
Always responsive
Sites I provide are always fully responsive, which means you can be sure they work just as well on a mobile phone as they do on an iPad, laptop or large desktop. With over 60% of all internet traffic coming via mobile devices now, this is an essential feature of any website.
How much will it cost?
A basic responsive site, with up to 3 different page layouts starts from as little as £1100. Please get in touch to discuss your specific requirements
E-Commerce
Brand new, or add to your existing site
At Kinetic Pulse I have helped many small businesses create their first online shop, and also enhanced established business’s e-commerce sites.
A typical shop site will contain a product catalogue, stock control, order management, payment gateways and delivery management. You might also want to add digital products (downloads), customer management and other extra features.
Built using established platforms
As with our regular CMS sites, I usually use WordPress as the basis for online shops, but I add extra modules to run the shop. For most sites I use WooCommerce, which is one of the most popular WordPress-based online shops (almost 40% of ALL online shops use WooCommerce!). The final choice is down to the exact nature of the business.
If you would prefer an ‘all-in-one’ package including hosting and all gateways I can also build sites using Shopify.
Add to your existing site
If you already have a WordPress-based site, expanding to include a retail section makes a lot of sense. I can add the necessary plugins and integrate everything with your existing site seamlessly.
Sites for all budgets
If you are on a tight budget I can design a site based on other sites you like, or your existing visuals. However, for professional branding and maximum impact we would always suggest working in conjunction with one of our design partners, with whom you can discuss any ideas you have, or seek inspiration.
Prices from as little as £1700 per site.
This would cover a basic e-commerce site (including product catalogue, payment and shipping modules) with a simple design layout . Please contact us for a quote based on your individual requirements
Mail Campaigns
Fully-responsive mails for all clients
Whether it’s for a regular newsletter, promotions or launch of a new product a carefully though-out email campaign is still one of the best ways of delivering information. With campaign tools such as Campaign Monitor and MailChimp making the management of subscriber lists and emails so much easier, it’s something that every business should be taking advantage of.
However there is a big catch here … there are so many different email applications (GMail, Yahoo, Outlook, Apple Mail, Thunderbird, Windows Mail etc etc) and also different ways of looking at it (mobile phone, tablet, laptop, desktop) that the building of the mail itself is far from easy.
Fortunately I have many years experience building email templates which are both responsive and work across all email clients. I can also advise on how to avoid your email dropping into the recipient’s spam folder!
